I'm also intrigued by the concept of the ship upgrades being tied to the discovery of anomalies rather than simply accumulating resources. The most fascinating aspect is the Black Mist energy converter, which allows the ship to harness the very force consuming the universe as fuel.

Also, ship battles don't seem to be a focus at the moment. I'm hoping that as the ship upgrades, these become more prominent.
