See whether readers put two novels together

Choose a novel you like and another you want to read. Shared recommendation lists show where readers have grouped them together. This can help you find a connection, but it does not prove that their plots or writing styles are alike.

If each novel appears on ten lists and five lists contain both, there are fifteen distinct lists. Their overlap is 33.3%.

These counts cover stored memberships only. The snapshot can miss lists and later edits. Treat the result as one reading clue, not a complete measure of reader taste.

Web Novel List Overlap Calculator FAQ

How do I compare two novel titles?

Search for each title, choose a matching result, then select Compare novels. You can also search by an alternate title. Author names help you tell titles apart.

How is the overlap percentage calculated?

It is the number of recommendation lists that contain both novels divided by the number of distinct lists that contain either novel, multiplied by 100. It measures shared list membership, not story similarity.

Does this include every current NovelUpdates list?

No. The tool uses stored list memberships from our catalog snapshot. Zero shared lists means none were found in this data. Missing list data does not mean a novel has never appeared on a recommendation list.
