Catalog records can lag behind the author or publisher. Check the official listing before you commit to a long series.

What the completion checker shows

The checker separates the original story status from the translation status. It also shows the recorded original chapter total and the latest translated chapter in our dataset.

A completed original can still have an incomplete translation. “Not marked complete” means the catalog does not list that version as finished. “Not recorded” means the source field is missing.

Check the official source before you start

Status data can change. Use this result as a quick check, then confirm it on the author or publisher page. Look for a final chapter, epilogue, or clear completion note.

Web Novel Completion Checker FAQ

How does the Web Novel Completion Checker work?

Search for a title. The checker reads the original and translated completion fields, chapter record, and latest translated chapter in our catalog.

Does a completed original mean the translation is complete?

No. The original story can be complete while the translation is still behind. Check both status cards and the latest translated chapter.

Why does a result say not recorded?

Our source data does not have that field for every title. Treat a missing status as unknown and check the author or publisher listing before you start a long series.
