It's a story that throws you right into the deep end of family drama, and while it has moments of genuine warmth and humor, it also treads into some seriously problematic territory.

And it delivers on that front, at least partially. What Works Well
One of the strongest aspects of this novel is the character development, especially when it comes to the children. They start off as spoiled brats, each with their own unique brand of trouble, but watching them gradually evolve and form a bond with the MC is genuinely heartwarming.
