My Thoughts on Upgrade Specialist in Another World
"Upgrade Specialist in Another World" presents an interesting premise: a cultivation world meets RPG mechanics, with a protagonist who gains the ability to upgrade items. I dove into this novel with high hopes, intrigued by the blend of xuanhuan and gaming elements. However, my experience was a mixed bag, with some aspects shining while others left me wanting more.
First Impressions
The initial chapters hooked me with their detailed fight scenes, a refreshing change from the often vague descriptions in other xianxia novels. I appreciated the focus on martial arts techniques and the lack of constant commentary from onlookers. The concept of a protagonist who isn't instantly overpowered also appealed to me, offering room for genuine growth and development.
