The premise is definitely a hook. A protagonist whose goal is to master the art of being a "white lotus" – charming, seemingly innocent, and capable of manipulating situations – is a refreshing change from the typical "strong, independent woman" trope. I was immediately curious to see how the author would pull this off.

What Works Well

The episodic structure, with each arc presenting a new world and challenge, kept me engaged. Many found the MC's ability to adapt to each new scenario, embody the original host's personality, and create a believable persona to be a strong point. I particularly enjoyed the complex characters and morally grey areas the story explored. While some found it fitting and appreciated the MC's unwavering commitment to her values, others felt it was anticlimactic and unsatisfying. The romance aspect is also tricky. The MC's primary goal isn't genuine love, but rather manipulation, which can make it difficult to root for her relationships. Some found the male leads underdeveloped and their actions illogical at times.

Some also disliked that the MC and ML are the first beings of the universe with the ML being "Good" and the MC being "Evil" then they split into two sides.

"Professional Accomplishment Of A White Lotus" is a unique and thought-provoking novel. It's well-written, with a compelling protagonist and engaging storylines. However, it's not for everyone. If you're looking for a traditional romance with a guaranteed happy ending, you might be disappointed. But if you're open to a morally ambiguous story with a complex female lead and a willingness to explore darker themes, this might be right up your alley. Just be prepared for a potentially tear-jerking experience and a bittersweet conclusion. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars – enjoyable, but with reservations.

Synopsis

Luo Ran uses these identities to attack the male lead and fulfill the desires of passers-by A; to add more scenes! TN: Passerby-A = Anonymous person, someone unimportant with a tiny role. Add scene = to add value to a role with more scenes.
