My Thoughts on Long AoTian Transmigrated Into the Wrong Book
This novel was such a fun ride! "Long AoTian Transmigrated Into the Wrong Book" is a refreshing take on the transmigration genre that had me laughing from beginning to end. It's a story that focuses more on the characters and their interactions than intricate plot twists, and honestly, I'm perfectly okay with that.
First Impressions
Initially, I was drawn in by the premise: a powerful, world-dominating protagonist from a xianxia world accidentally transmigrating into a modern CEO romance novel. The clash of genres is immediately apparent, and the humor derives from the MC's complete lack of awareness of modern romance tropes. It's a recipe for comedic gold, and the novel delivers.
What Works Well
The dynamics between Yu Han, our Long AoTian MC, and Xie Sixing, the "villainous" ML, are absolutely the highlight. Yu Han's over-the-top confidence, chuunibyou tendencies, and sheer competence in everything he does make him incredibly endearing. He's not afraid to defy fate, even if that means conquering the business world with his own unique brand of "manly" charisma. Xie Sixing, initially cold and ruthless, slowly melts under Yu Han's dazzling personality. I especially loved how the author didn't try to make Yu Han conform to typical shou characteristics; he remains masculine, ambitious, and hilariously oblivious to romance throughout.
The side characters also shine, often becoming devoted followers of Yu Han due to his inspiring leadership and, let's be honest, his ability to "faceslap" them into seeing the error of their ways. The whole company ends up worshipping him, and the dynamic is just hilarious. The refreshing part is that the relationships are healthy and respectful. The ML supports the MC and gives him the freedom to shine on his own.
Areas of Concern
Honestly, I didn't have many major issues with the novel. The middle part can feel a little repetitive, as the MC continues to succeed effortlessly. Also, the MC's lack of romantic EQ can be a bit frustrating at times, especially when the ML is clearly head-over-heels for him.
⚠️ Spoiler Warning
Some reviews mention that the MC has three wishes granted to him, including staying in the world, ensuring the ML comes with him to other worlds, and becoming the director of the Transmigration Bureau (which hilariously gets denied). Also, the original protagonist shou leaves his abusive partner and becomes a more confident individual, which is a great development.
Final Verdict
Overall, "Long AoTian Transmigrated Into the Wrong Book" is a fantastic and funny read. If you're looking for a lighthearted story with a unique premise, lovable characters, and a healthy dose of humor, I highly recommend giving it a try. I'd rate it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars.
