My Thoughts on Godly Model Creator
"Godly Model Creator" is a web novel that promises a blend of sci-fi, cultivation, and school life, and while it has some interesting elements, my overall experience was a bit of a mixed bag. It certainly wasn't the worst thing I've ever read, but it definitely has some flaws that held it back from reaching its full potential.
First Impressions
Initially, the premise grabbed my attention. The idea of an MC who could create models and then copy other people's abilities sounded unique. I was eager to see how he would use these powers in a world that blends modern society with cultivation elements. However, the early chapters felt a little rough around the edges, and it took some time to really get invested.
What Works Well
One of the things I enjoyed most was the MC's journey of self-improvement. He wasn't instantly overpowered, and I liked watching him experiment with his abilities and figure out how to use them effectively. The story has a relatively lighthearted tone, and the focus on the MC overcoming challenges and adapting to new situations kept me engaged for a while. There's also a romantic subplot woven in, and I appreciated that the female lead wasn't just a passive character; she had her own goals and motivations.
Areas of Concern
Unfortunately, there were some significant issues that detracted from my enjoyment. I felt the pacing was inconsistent, with long stretches dedicated to tournament arcs that became repetitive and predictable. Some of the side characters felt underdeveloped, and their motivations were unclear. It also seemed like the author introduced plot points and abilities only to forget about them later on.
⚠️ Spoiler Warning
Several readers expressed frustration with the ending. Apparently, it involves some bizarre plot twists, including the MC's mother entering a reverse harem and the villain becoming friendly. Also, some found the cultivation system nonsensical outside of the school setting.
Final Verdict
"Godly Model Creator" has a decent premise and some enjoyable moments, but inconsistent writing, pacing issues, and questionable plot decisions ultimately hold it back. While I appreciated the MC's growth and the attempt at a unique blend of genres, I can't wholeheartedly recommend it. If you're looking for a lighthearted read with a unique power system and don't mind overlooking some flaws, it might be worth a try. Otherwise, there are probably better options out there.
