My Thoughts on After Transmigrating into a Book, I became the Favourite of Two Wealthy Families
After Transmigrating into a Book, I became the Favourite of Two Wealthy Families promised a fluffy escape, and while it delivered on that front to some extent, my experience was a bit of a mixed bag. It’s a completed original novel, with an ongoing translation, so I was able to dive right in and see how it all unfolded.
First Impressions
The initial chapters hooked me with a promise of snark and playful banter. The MC seemed like he was going to be a fun, slightly mischievous character, and I was eager to see how he navigated his new life in the book. There was a certain charm to the beginning that made me want to keep reading.
What Works Well
The doting family aspect is definitely a highlight. The MC's brothers and parents are incredibly supportive, and it's heartwarming to see them showering him with affection. The romance, while a bit rushed, is undeniably cute. The ML is the overbearing type, and if you're into that, you'll probably enjoy their interactions. I also appreciated that the main plot points from the summary actually came to fruition, which isn't always the case. It's a light read that doesn't demand too much from the reader, perfect for when you just want something easy and comforting.
Areas of Concern
However, the novel does have its drawbacks. The plot is fairly thin, and the conflicts are resolved rather quickly, making the story feel somewhat anticlimactic. I also felt that the MC's personality shifted quite a bit as the story progressed, losing some of the initial spark that drew me in. The villains are dispatched with such ease that they barely register as threats, and the focus on the MC's career in the entertainment industry felt underdeveloped. The reason for the ML's initial attraction to the MC is also a little vague.
⚠️ Spoiler Warning
Some readers have pointed out plot holes and unanswered questions, particularly regarding the MC's past and the original protagonist's motivations. The story hints at deeper mysteries, but they are never fully explored, leaving a sense of unfulfilled potential.
Final Verdict
Overall, After Transmigrating into a Book, I became the Favourite of Two Wealthy Families is a decent read if you're looking for something light, fluffy, and focused on doting relationships. Just don't expect a complex plot or deep character development. It's a pleasant enough way to pass the time, but not a novel that will stick with me for long.
