My Thoughts on This Husband Is Frail And Weak
"This Husband Is Frail And Weak" is a novel I initially hesitated to pick up, but I'm incredibly glad I did. It's a blend of adventure, fantasy, historical elements, mystery, and romance with a strong yaoi pairing, set in ancient China. The story follows a protagonist who transmigrates into a sickly character tasked by a system to aid the original protagonist in becoming emperor. However, the MC decides to become a salted fish, and this leads to a journey filled with intrigue, romance, and surprisingly tender moments.
First Impressions
I was immediately drawn in by the unique premise of a "salted fish" protagonist determined to avoid the original plot. The initial chapters set a good pace, introducing the main characters and the world they inhabit. The comedic undertones balanced the heavier themes of betrayal and political maneuvering, making it an enjoyable read from the start.
