With elements of action, adventure, and romance woven into a wuxia setting, it's a novel that pulls you in with its complex characters and intriguing premise. However, it's not without its bumps along the way.

Initially, I was hooked by the dynamic between the leads. The spoiled eldest miss and the two-faced madman promised a compelling push-and-pull. I was intrigued by the FL's cunning and the ML's hidden depths. The early chapters set the stage for a story filled with schemes, betrayals, and a battle of wits, and I was ready for it.
What Works Well
The character of the female lead, An Jiu, is a definite highlight. She's not your typical damsel in distress; she's smart, manipulative, and fiercely independent.
