My Thoughts on Shrouded Seascape
"Shrouded Seascape" is a novel that immediately pulled me in with its unique premise: a protagonist finding himself in a sunless, subterranean ocean ripe with Lovecraftian horrors and SCP-esque relics. The initial concept is strong, and the promise of a dark, mysterious world kept me turning the pages. While the execution has its ups and downs, there's enough here to make it a worthwhile read for fans of the genre.

The world-building is definitely the initial hook. The setting, reminiscent of a steampunk-era, subterranean sea dotted with islands, each with its own secrets and dangers, is incredibly compelling.
