My Thoughts on President, Don’t Come Over
"President, Don’t Come Over" promised a blend of office romance and, well, other things, and I dove in with a healthy dose of curiosity. The premise alone—an intern writing smut about her boss who then reads said smut—was enough to pique my interest. Overall, it was an enjoyable, albeit short, read that delivered on its promise of steaminess and lightheartedness.
First Impressions
The initial chapters had me hooked. The setup is undeniably fun and a little cringe-worthy in the best way. I was immediately invested in the MC's predicament and eager to see how she’d navigate the increasingly awkward situation with her boss. The writing style is easy to get into, making it a quick and engaging read.
What Works Well
The novel definitely excels in the smut and fluff department. The intimate scenes are well-written and contribute to the overall plot, which is a huge plus. It doesn't feel gratuitous; instead, it's woven into the narrative in a way that enhances the relationship between the characters.
