My Thoughts on Kiss the Black Cat
"Kiss the Black Cat" promised fluff, romance, and a dash of fantasy, and for the most part, it delivered. I went in expecting a light read, and that's precisely what I got, though with a few caveats along the way. It's definitely a novel that leans heavily into its strengths, sometimes at the expense of deeper world-building or intricate plotting.

The premise of a magician going undercover as a black cat to protect a foreign prince is instantly appealing, and the early interactions between Nidel, the magician, and Legato, the knight captain, are sweet and engaging. I was quickly drawn into their budding connection, especially as Nidel navigated the challenges of being a cat while secretly harboring feelings for Legato.

The core strength of this novel lies in its characters and their relationship.
