"Infinitely, I Have a Lady in Red" is a wild ride through the horror and yuri genres, and I found myself surprisingly hooked despite the heavy content. The blend of gruesome scenarios with a budding romance is certainly unique, and while it might not be for everyone, those with a strong stomach and an appreciation for dark themes will likely find something to enjoy.

Going into this novel, I was immediately struck by the intense trigger warnings. Depictions of cruelty, abuse, and gore are prominent, so be prepared for a potentially disturbing read. However, beyond the initial shock, I was intrigued by the premise of a protagonist navigating deadly game instances with the help of her ghostly companion.

The world-building is a definite strength. The author crafts these terrifying game worlds with a clear vision, making each instance feel distinct and genuinely unsettling. I especially enjoyed the dynamic between Jiang Xiaoli and Li Hongying. Seeing them protect each other and grow stronger together, both within the games and in the real world, added a layer of heart to the otherwise bleak narrative.
