My Thoughts on I Hijacked the Timeline
First Impressions
Okay, so when I first heard the title "I Hijacked the Timeline," I'll admit, I raised an eyebrow. It sounded a bit…out there. But I dove in anyway, and I've got some thoughts. The premise is that our main character has this insane ability to jump into the future, specifically reliving the same day over and over again. Each loop, he gets stronger in his "real" past self based on his accomplishments in the future. It's a cool concept, blending time travel with a power-up system.
What Works Well
What I really enjoyed was seeing the MC evolve. He starts as a pretty ordinary student, seemingly helpless. But as the story progresses, he grows into someone who might actually be capable of saving humanity, which is a pretty big leap! The author does a solid job of showing his progression, both in terms of power and leadership. I also like that the story explores the consequences of his time-traveling antics. Each jump creates a new timeline, which is explored through ancient records and world histories, adding layers to the world-building. There's a good mix of action, mystery, and character development.
Areas of Concern
While the core concept is intriguing, sometimes the execution felt a bit generic. Some elements felt like standard cultivation tropes, which, while not necessarily bad, didn't always feel fresh.
