"I Built a Territory in Ancient Times" promised a blend of fantasy, history, and slice-of-life, and while it delivered on some fronts, I found myself ultimately a bit underwhelmed. It's not a bad read by any means, but it didn't quite reach its full potential in my eyes.

The initial premise is definitely intriguing: a modern individual transmigrating to ancient times and using their knowledge to build a territory. I was drawn in by the potential for clever schemes, economic development, and a glimpse into a different way of life. The early chapters held promise, showcasing the MC's initial struggles and triumphs in adapting to his new reality.
What Works Well
I appreciated the focus on territory building and the MC's efforts to improve the lives of the people around him. The novel shines when it delves into the details of creating new industries, managing resources, and fostering trade. It's also refreshing to see a familial dynamic with a caring emperor, a welcome change from the often-antagonistic royal families in similar stories. The interactions between the MC and the male lead, while slow-burn, were often humorous and endearing. Some readers pointed out that the enemies were clever and gave the MC and ML a run for their money.
Areas of Concern
My biggest issue lies with the execution of the plot and characters.
