My Thoughts on God-level Bodyguard in The City
"God-level Bodyguard in The City" promised a modern action story with a confident, capable protagonist, and for the most part, it delivered. I went in expecting a fun, fast-paced read, and that's pretty much what I got.
First Impressions
The initial chapters hooked me with their quick pace and introduction to the MC, a special forces veteran turned bodyguard. The premise is simple: a guy with a tragic past uses his skills to protect the wealthy and powerful. It's a familiar trope, but the execution felt fresh enough to keep me interested. There's an early focus on romance, and the female characters are, shall we say, "deliciously proportioned," which sets the tone for what's to come. The initial arcs were strong, establishing the MC's intelligence and his ability to handle situations with a mix of arrogance and cunning.
