Our MC, He Huan, gets split into his younger, more innocent self, He Ku, after a lightning tribulation. He Ku wakes up to find that his older self, the titular "Fake Demon Lord," is stuck in his head, which sets the stage for a wild and often hilarious journey of self-discovery.
