My Thoughts on Battle Frenzy
"Battle Frenzy" is a web novel that I approached with a decent amount of excitement, given its action, fantasy, and sci-fi blend. The premise of a futuristic world with martial arts and academy elements seemed promising. However, after diving in and considering the experiences of other readers, my feelings are definitely mixed.
First Impressions
Initially, I was intrigued by the world-building and the protagonist's underdog status. The idea of a school setting in a world reshaped by dimensional rifts, where students battle mutated beasts, had a certain appeal. It felt like a fresh take on familiar tropes. I was hooked by the mystery surrounding the MC and wanted to unravel more.
What Works Well
I found the combat system to be a strong point. The battles are detailed and engaging, especially early on. There's a certain charm to the protagonist, who starts off underestimated but shows promise through his intelligence and unique abilities.
