My Thoughts on After Reverse Transmigration, I Became the Four Arch-Enemies’ White Moonlight
This novel had me hooked from the start with its intriguing premise: a protagonist facing reverse transmigration who decides to wreak havoc on his own life before he loses it completely. The title is a bit misleading, but the core story is a fun ride.
First Impressions
I was immediately drawn in by the chaotic energy of the main character. He's trying to sabotage his own life to prevent the transmigrator from enjoying it, which leads to some truly hilarious and over-the-top situations. The whole concept of a yandere male lead also piqued my interest.
What Works Well
The relationship between the MC and ML is definitely a highlight. The ML's yandere tendencies are well-executed, and the MC's obliviousness to his feelings adds a layer of comedic tension. The author does a great job portraying the MC's emotions as he grapples with his impending "death." I also appreciated that the story is relatively short and complete, making it a quick and satisfying read. The pacing is good, and the characters are interesting, even if the MC's otherworldly beauty is a bit much at times.
Areas of Concern
The title suggests the MC becomes the white moonlight of four arch-enemies, but the story mainly focuses on two, which felt a bit misleading. Also, the MC's actions can be a bit frustrating at times. He flip-flops between wanting to cause chaos and trying to be a decent person, which can make his motivations feel inconsistent. I also felt bad for the other male characters that the MC accidentally attracts and uses, especially Yan Huihua. I also felt like the author rushed the ending a bit, leaving me wanting more resolution.
⚠️ Spoiler Warning
Okay, let's talk spoilers for a sec. Several readers pointed out that the "nice guy" male lead's character development felt a bit pointless. He was just there, without adding much to the overall plot. Some also felt that the movie plot within the story was boring and redundant.
Final Verdict
Despite a few shortcomings, "After Reverse Transmigration, I Became the Four Arch-Enemies’ White Moonlight" is an enjoyable read. The dynamic between the MC and ML is captivating, and the overall story is a fun blend of comedy, drama, and romance. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a quick, entertaining novel with a yandere ML and a chaotic protagonist. Just be prepared for some dog-blood drama and a slightly rushed ending. Overall, I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
