My Thoughts on The Cannon-Fodder Ex-Wife Finds Happiness
This novel was quite a ride! It's a blend of genres that I found surprisingly engaging, even with a few caveats. The story follows a woman who transmigrates into the body of a "cannon fodder" ex-wife in a China undergoing significant historical change. It's a premise that had me hooked from the start.

I was initially drawn in by the promise of a unique historical setting. Unlike many similar stories, this one is set before the typical rural farming dramas and college entrance examinations. Instead, it delves into the intricacies of a military-entrenched society on the cusp of major transformation. The slice-of-life elements, combined with the weight of the historical context, created a compelling atmosphere.
What Works Well
The family dynamics, particularly the relationships between the main character, her husband, and their son, were a definite highlight.
