My Thoughts on Master Series
"Master Series" definitely offers a mixed bag of emotions and experiences, and I found myself going on quite the rollercoaster ride through its various stories. With its blend of comedy, fantasy, romance, and even a touch of tragedy, it's a collection that tries to offer something for everyone, and mostly succeeds.
First Impressions
Initially, I was drawn in by the xianxia setting and the master-disciple dynamic. The premise of a strong female protagonist navigating the immortal world is always appealing, and the comedic elements promised a lighthearted read. Plus, the episodic nature of the series made it easy to pick up and put down without losing track of a long, overarching plot.
What Works Well
The comedic timing is definitely a strong point. I found myself chuckling at the various misunderstandings and situations the characters found themselves in. The short story format allows each tale to be concise and impactful, delivering a complete narrative without overstaying its welcome. Areas of Concern

Some of the stories felt a bit rushed, and I was left wanting more development, especially in the relationships between characters. Also, I can see how some might find the female lead's supposed detachment from worldly affairs a bit unconvincing, considering her actions. Furthermore, the first story seems to have left a particularly sour taste for some, due to the actions of the disciples.
