Initially, I was drawn in by the premise: a daughter disguising herself as a man to clear her father's name. The synopsis promised a clever protagonist navigating the treacherous waters of ancient Chinese politics, and I wasn't disappointed. The early chapters set the stage well, introducing Feng Sheng's determination and the challenges she faces.
