My Thoughts on Entering a Split Personality
"Entering a Split Personality" is a completed quick transmigration novel that took me on a wild ride. With a split personality love interest and a protagonist diving into dream worlds, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Overall, I found it an enjoyable read, though not without its flaws.
First Impressions
From the start, I was intrigued by the unique premise. An otaku MC tasked with healing a ML with a split personality by entering his mental dreamscapes? Sign me up! The initial arcs pulled me in with their blend of fantasy and romance. However, I quickly realized this wasn't going to be a light and fluffy read.
What Works Well
The author deserves credit for the novel's creativity. Each arc felt distinct, and I appreciated how they connected to the overarching plot. I found myself invested in the relationship between the MC and ML, despite the rollercoaster of emotions. The novel has a unique background which I found kinda rare and is a quick read. Very easy to MTL too! I love MC and ML both and plus point, lots and lots of smexy time!
Areas of Concern
While I enjoyed the overall story, some aspects left me wanting more. The world-building felt rushed, and I wished the author had delved deeper into the intricacies of each dreamscape. The ending, too, felt somewhat abrupt, leaving a few plot threads unresolved. Also, the MC thinks it's ok for the ML to physically ab*se him because he had previously betrayed the ML (fictionally). IT iS NOT OK.
⚠️ Spoiler Warning
Some of the darker elements of the story might not be for everyone. In fact, the consent is very problematic. There are a few arcs where the MC doesn't give his consent, but then he thinks it's okay because he is guilty of something, or he is treaded violently but he endures because he feels it's okay because he loves the ML or because is a way to calm down the ML, and the author always smooths things saying that: and then, afterwards, soon he felt pleasure and begged for more and similar things.
Final Verdict
"Entering a Split Personality" is a guilty pleasure read that will likely demolish your brain cells but will still be pleasurable if you crave a brainless setting that doesn't alert your brain it's too brainless. If any of the above mentioned are not what you are looking for, please do not read. I beg you. You're gonna get unbelievably pissed off. If you are looking for the before mentioned, make sure you read tags folks! C'mon, it's the same old line-up. I'd recommend it to readers who enjoy transmigration stories with complex relationships and aren't afraid of morally grey areas. Just be sure to check the tags and content warnings before diving in!
