My Thoughts on Conqueror of Hell
First Impressions
"Conqueror of Hell" immediately grabbed my attention with its premise: a regular guy waking up in Hell with a demon king sealed inside him. It's a classic fish-out-of-water scenario, and I was eager to see how the author would play with the themes of adventure, comedy, and a budding yaoi relationship. The "oneshot" tag made me think it would be a quick, fun read, and I wasn't entirely wrong.
What Works Well
The humor definitely lands. The bickering between the protagonist and the demon lord is a highlight, providing plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. Their dynamic is the heart of the story, and I found myself invested in their constant back-and-forth. The initial concept of someone accidentally conquering Hell while just trying to get home is also quite amusing. The story moves at a brisk pace, and before I knew it, I'd reached the end. It's perfect for a lighthearted read when you don't want to commit to a lengthy series.

While the fast pace is a strength, it also leads to some underdeveloped areas. The ending, in particular, felt a little rushed.
