"As the Minor Gay Rival in Het Novels" had a fun premise that initially drew me in, but ultimately left me with mixed feelings. The idea of a straight man forced to play the role of a doomed gay character in various heterosexual romance novels, only to have the male lead fall for him instead, is undeniably amusing. However, the execution stumbled in several areas, preventing me from fully enjoying the experience.
