Who it's for, and whether it holds up.
The setup is classically rom-com: woman scorned targets the uncle of her ex's new girlfriend to get revenge, and ends up in a relationship she didn't plan for. The female lead is shameless in a way that's genuinely funny at times, and the male lead's patient, teasing response to her schemes makes their dynamic work in the better chapters.
The humor lands most consistently in the early going. There are real laugh-out-loud moments, and when the two leads are just bouncing off each other without the plot getting in the way, the story earns its genre. Some readers also praised the male lead specifically: he's steady, understanding, and probably more patient than the situation warrants.
The problem is the female lead herself, and it's not a small one. Her revenge motivation stays shallow, and her behavior regularly tips from entertainingly chaotic into irritating and unprofessional. Her character development is thin, which makes the male lead's sustained devotion feel unearned rather than romantic. The plot relies heavily on misunderstandings and coincidences, which works once or twice before it starts to feel mechanical. Several readers felt she continued making one-sided demands even after the relationship was established.
If you want a light, completed read where you're mostly here for the comedic friction between leads, this is functional. If you need the female lead to be likable or the plot to feel organic, you'll hit the ceiling pretty quickly. It's enjoyable in a low-investment way, but the flaws are real and the characterization doesn't deepen enough to paper over them.
