My Thoughts on Positive Energy System
Alright, let's dive into "Positive Energy System." I've just finished reading it, and I have a lot to say. Overall, I enjoyed the ride, even though it had its bumps. It's one of those stories that grabs you with its unique premise and keeps you hooked, even when you're questioning some of the choices.
First Impressions
Initially, I was intrigued by the concept of a system that rewards positive energy. It felt like a fresh take on the usual system novel tropes. The idea of the MC, Ji ChenAi, reborn into Zhou YuQin's body and striving to regain his ability to walk by doing good deeds was compelling. I was eager to see how the author would explore this concept, especially with the added element of a cute romance.
What Works Well
The world-building and the system mechanics are definitely highlights. Xiao Qi, the Positive Energy System, is more than just a tool; it's a character in its own right, and I loved the interactions between Xiao Qi and the MC. The plot is filled with conspiracies and schemes, and I appreciated that it wasn't just a simple revenge story. The MC is also a big plus; he's hardworking, opportunistic, and not afraid to get his hands dirty. He's not a pushover, and I admired his determination to create a better life for himself. I particularly loved that the MC was not focused on revenge, but on making his new life better.
Areas of Concern
One thing that bothered me was the romance. While it's cute, it felt rushed and underdeveloped, especially towards the end. I also found some of the plot twists a bit too convoluted, particularly those involving multiple timelines and versions of the system. It felt like the author was trying to cram too much into a relatively short novel. The ending also felt rushed, with loose ends tied up a bit too messily.
⚠️ Spoiler Warning
Okay, let's talk spoilers. The identity of the ML (Zhou YaoYun) being the MC's younger brother in his new life might not sit well with everyone, though there's no blood relation. Also, the ending involves time travel and the MC losing his system, which some readers found disappointing and felt like it shifted the focus away from the MC.
Final Verdict
Despite its flaws, "Positive Energy System" is a worthwhile read. The unique premise, engaging characters, and exciting plot twists kept me entertained. While the romance and some of the later plot developments could have been handled better, I still enjoyed the journey and would recommend it to anyone looking for a novel with a fresh take on the system genre. I'm giving it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
