My Thoughts on Spider

It's not a perfect novel, but its unique premise and charismatic characters definitely make it worth checking out, especially if you're looking for something a bit different from the usual danmei fare.

Initially, I was drawn in by the seemingly simple premise: a nonchalant protagonist, Jason, navigating life in New York and getting into trouble, with his roommate Adrian always there to bail him out. This set-up felt familiar, almost sitcom-esque, but the underlying tension and hints of something darker kept me intrigued. The American setting, though perhaps a bit stereotypical, added a unique flavor to the story.
