My Thoughts on Pollutant Disguise Plan
Pollutant Disguise Plan is a wild ride, and I found myself surprisingly hooked. Going in, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I came out the other side thoroughly entertained. It's definitely a unique take on the post-apocalyptic genre with a strong dose of fantasy and a healthy serving of yaoi romance.
First Impressions
Initially, I was a little hesitant. The premise seemed a bit out there, but I'm glad I stuck with it. Some readers mentioned that the story really picks up around chapter 40, and I have to agree. That's when the central mysteries surrounding the MC's identity and past really started to grab my attention.
What Works Well
The overpowered protagonist is a major draw. It's fun to watch him bulldoze through obstacles. The author doesn't try to pretend he's weak, and I appreciated that. It allows you to relax and enjoy the unfolding plot. The world-building is also pretty solid, even though it's a post-apocalyptic setting, society still functions, which makes for an interesting dynamic with enemies and allies lurking everywhere.
I also found myself enjoying the supporting characters. The mushrooms are surprisingly endearing, evolving into almost childlike figures as their bond with the MC deepens. And the system itself? A reliable and helpful companion, free of any sinister hidden agendas, which was a refreshing change of pace.
⚠️ Spoiler Warning
The plot is intricately woven, with a mystery element that keeps you guessing. Apparently, the whole "transmigration" is tied to a Book of Precognition, a pollutant with a vendetta. The novel delves into multiple timelines and intricate backstories, so be prepared to pay attention to the details!
Final Verdict
Overall, I really enjoyed Pollutant Disguise Plan. It's a fun, engaging read with a unique premise, lovable characters, and an overpowered protagonist who isn't afraid to use his abilities. If you're looking for a post-apocalyptic fantasy with a strong romantic subplot and plenty of action, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try. I'm giving it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
