My Thoughts on My Sister Never Called Me Brother
Okay, so I dove into "My Sister Never Called Me Brother" with a healthy dose of curiosity, given its tags: comedy, harem, romance, and school life – a potent mix! The "siblings not related by blood" trope is well-trodden ground, but I was hoping for a fresh take. Overall, it's an interesting novel, but I definitely have some mixed feelings after reading the available chapters.
First Impressions
My first impression was a bit jarring, to be honest. The opening felt a little clunky. I found the protagonist's antics a bit over-the-top, and it was hard to connect with his character immediately. I do appreciate a good shameless protagonist, but the initial execution felt more cringe than comedic.
What Works Well
Despite my initial reservations, I can see the potential here. The premise is intriguing, and the "black belly" characteristic of the female lead definitely piques my interest. The story has the potential to become a compelling comedy as the relationship between the siblings develops.
Areas of Concern
One of my biggest concerns is the consistency of the writing style. I found the shifts in perspective a little disorienting, and it made it difficult to fully immerse myself in the story. I also think the humor needs some refinement. While I appreciate the attempt at lightheartedness, some of the jokes fell flat for me.

Final Verdict
"My Sister Never Called Me Brother" has the potential to be an enjoyable read, particularly if you're a fan of the comedy, harem, and school life genres. However, it needs some polish in terms of writing style and comedic timing. I'm willing to give it a few more chapters to see if it finds its footing, but right now, it's a tentative recommendation. I'd suggest waiting until more chapters are released before fully committing to this one. It's a 3/5 for me – promising, but not quite there yet.
