My Thoughts on After Admitting The Wrong God They Regret It
"After Admitting The Wrong God They Regret It" presents an intriguing premise: a mistreated twin god seeking worship in another galaxy ends up among demons who despise gods. However, my experience reading this novel was a bit of a mixed bag. While the core story sparked my interest, certain aspects held it back from reaching its full potential.
First Impressions
The initial setup is definitely unique. The idea of a god accidentally landing among god-hating demons is ripe with potential for conflict and character development. I was particularly interested in seeing how the protagonist, an MC with a seemingly cold exterior masking a more naive core, would navigate this treacherous situation. The world-building, blending futuristic and supernatural elements, also piqued my curiosity.
What Works Well
Despite some flaws, the character dynamics kept me invested. The contrast between the MC, a god who isn't a pushover, and the initially brash Demon Lord who softens into a devoted love interest, is compelling. I enjoyed the exploration of themes like genuine belief versus convenient faith, and the responsibilities that come with power. Although these themes aren't explored with extreme depth, their presence elevates the story beyond a typical romance. The slow-burn romance also worked for me, allowing the relationship to develop organically and providing ample opportunities for teasing and character interaction.
Areas of Concern
Unfortunately, the translation quality is a significant hurdle. Inconsistent naming conventions, frequent repetitions, and awkward phrasing make it difficult to fully immerse myself in the story. The constant descriptions of the MC's appearance and the author's notes at the end of each chapter also felt repetitive and unnecessary, slowing down the pacing. Furthermore, I found the MC's characterization to be somewhat inconsistent at times, making it difficult to fully connect with him.

Final Verdict
"After Admitting The Wrong God They Regret It" has a captivating premise and interesting characters. If you are willing to overlook the translation issues and some pacing problems, you may find an enjoyable danmei story with unique elements. However, be prepared for a bumpy ride, and perhaps lower your expectations to fully appreciate the good aspects.
