Description

Lin Nuo transmigrated into the children’s picture book that he illustrated, The Knight Battles the Evil Dragon, and became the evil dragon. Since this book was aimed at children, but the beheading of the evil dragon wasn’t very pleasant, the Reading Classification Management System became unsure how to classify it. Upon his death, Lin Nuo was invited to step into his book and improve its setting. During the day, the little evil dragon takes on the form of an imperial prince, favored by the King. At night, he turns back into a dragon, eager to grab any gold coins (the only item capable of giving him the magic to keep his human form) and hoard them. In the original story, the little evil dragon committed many misdeeds and was ultimately exposed and slain by the knight Sir Rennes. So, every time Lin Nuo encountered this paladin with his exquisite yet cold demeanor, Lin Nuo was filled with fear and tried to avoid him. Yet, somehow the King makes Sir Rennes Lin Nuo’s magic teacher?! What is he supposed to do now!? And worse yet, the coins the Reading Classification Management System tasked him to collect are all owned by Rennes?? This can’t be!!!

The Evil Dragon is Proposed to by the Knight Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on The Evil Dragon is Proposed to by the Knight ### First Impressions "The Evil Dragon is Proposed to by the Knight" immediately charmed me with its lighthearted premise. A cute, slightly scatterbrained dragon trying to navigate a world of knights, magic, and burgeoning romance? Sign me up! The European-inspired setting and focus on fantasy creatures only added to the appeal. I dove in expecting a fluffy, feel-good read, and for the most part, that's exactly what I got. ### What Works Well The heart of this story lies in the dynamic between Lin Nuo, the adorable dragon MC, and his knightly suitor. Lin Nuo's earnestness and occasional cluelessness are endearing, making him incredibly easy to root for. The author really nailed the "doting love interest" trope with the ML, who displays endless patience and affection. I found myself chuckling at the many scenes where Lin Nuo completely misses the ML's obvious flirting attempts – it's a classic trope done well. Beyond the romance, I appreciated the underlying plot. While the story is primarily character-driven, there's enough magic, mystery, and even a touch of villainy to keep things interesting. The world-building, while not overly complex, is well-executed and adds depth to the narrative. It's a fun and engaging story that had me hooked from beginning to end. ### Areas of Concern Honestly, the biggest issue is that you need to turn your brain off to enjoy it. There were moments where the plot felt a little inconsistent, and the MC's system, designed for a children's book, occasionally felt like a convenient plot device rather than an integral part of the story. The MC also isn't the most logical or strategic character, so if you prefer protagonists with sharp wit and cunning, this might not be your cup of tea. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning While I won't delve into specifics, I will say that the system censors the MC for being "too adult rated" during kissing scenes with the ML, which is a fun comedic element. ### Final Verdict Despite its minor flaws, "The Evil Dragon is Proposed to by the Knight" is a delightful and heartwarming read. If you're looking for a story with a cute protagonist, a sweet romance, and a healthy dose of fantasy, I highly recommend giving it a try. Just be prepared to embrace the fluff and forgive the occasional plot hole – you won't regret it. It's a perfect story for a relaxing afternoon.
