Description

Shi Changyuan is the abyss, a world-class disaster that devours all life force around it and continues to expand. The end of the world is coming. But the little flower demon doesn’t know any of this. He only knows that a new neighbor has moved in nearby. He looks a little scary, and all his human friends have fled the city overnight. Seeing his own leaves gradually turning yellow, the little flower demon Lin Ling goes to his neighbor’s door. He stretches out his pale fingers and says aggrievedly, “I don’t mean to drive you away, but since you moved in, no one has watered or fertilized me…” The abyss is silent for a moment, then tentatively rummages through the things it has devoured, and finds a small can of fertilizer. Later, humans discover that the abyss has stopped expanding, but it has cordoned off a piece of land. Detection radar shows that in the very center of that land, carefully protected, is a small, unknown flower.

Even the Abyss Wants a Wife Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Even the Abyss Wants a Wife Okay, let me tell you about "Even the Abyss Wants a Wife." I dove into this novel expecting a fluffy, feel-good story, and it pretty much delivered on that promise. It's a quick read, perfect for when you want something light and sweet to breeze through. ### First Impressions The premise is definitely unique – an apocalypse, a cute little flower protagonist, and a powerful abyss as his love interest. It immediately grabbed my attention with its blend of seemingly contrasting elements. I was intrigued by the potential for both humor and heartwarming moments, and I wasn't disappointed. ### What Works Well The relationship between the MC and ML is undoubtedly the heart of this story. It's incredibly sweet, almost to the point of being tooth-achingly so! The ML is completely devoted, and the MC's bubbly personality is infectious. I particularly enjoyed how the story explores the dynamic between the abyss and humanity. It's refreshing to see humans trying to survive through love and understanding rather than just war. Plus, the author did a solid job of making both sides intelligent and aware of each other's motivations. Even though it's a short story, the characters felt well-developed, and I became invested in their journey. The plot may be simple, but that simplicity allows the focus to remain on the romance and character interactions. ### Areas of Concern Honestly, it's hard to find major faults with this novel, especially given its length. The world-building is minimal, but I feel like expanding on it would have detracted from the core of the story. Some might find the tropes used to be a little stereotypical, but they are handled well and ultimately work in favor of the characters. The conflicts are resolved quickly, but this contributes to the overall lighthearted tone. ### Final Verdict "Even the Abyss Wants a Wife" is a delightful and heartwarming read that I would happily recommend. If you're looking for a short, fluffy, and sweet romance with a unique premise, this is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared for a serious dose of sweetness! I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
