Description

Pei An was born in peace, died during the apocalypse, succumbing to the endless waves of zombies. However, he didn’t entirely pass away; his soul was reborn in the interstellar era, inhabiting the body of someone with the same name and surname. Cherishing life, Pei An diligently lives on, occasionally venturing into space to scavenge for junk. After years of scavenging, one day he stumbles upon a person, a robust alpha. Pei An: “Don’t let the picked-up alpha go to waste, bring him back and put him to work.” Xie Yu, an outstanding military officer and a remarkable commander, fell victim to betrayal from his subordinates, nearly meeting his end. A once invincible commander found himself in a dire situation. Fate favored Xie Yu, saving him from death’s grasp as he sought refuge in an escape pod floating through space. However, he was then picked up as junk by an omega. Xie Yu: “…” Pei An: “If you’re eating and living under my roof, you can’t not pay, so…” Xie Yu quickly responds: “So you want me to offer myself?” Pei An deadpans as he hands Xie Yu a cutting board and a knife: “So you’ll be responsible for cooking for me from now on.” Xie Yu smiles: “Sure, I’ll cook for you forever.”

Picking Up An Alpha On Garbage Star Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Picking Up An Alpha On Garbage Star "Picking Up An Alpha On Garbage Star" is a sci-fi omegaverse novel with a strong premise, but it definitely has some quirks that readers should be aware of before diving in. I came into this expecting a thrilling adventure with a capable MC, and while there were elements I enjoyed, the execution felt uneven. ### First Impressions The initial setup is intriguing: a protagonist who transmigrates from a zombie apocalypse to a futuristic world. The blend of sci-fi and omegaverse elements promised a unique reading experience. I was particularly drawn to the idea of a strong, independent omega MC, and that aspect did hold some appeal. ### What Works Well I appreciated the dynamic between the MC and ML, especially the portrayal of a respectful and equal partnership. The MC's backstory, slowly revealed throughout the story, added depth to his character. The overarching plot of uniting against evil forces and creating a better world, while a bit idealistic, was still satisfying to see play out. I enjoyed the strong MC and the world building. ### Areas of Concern However, I did find some issues that detracted from my overall enjoyment. The translation quality seems to be a significant problem, with inconsistencies in names and sentence structure making it difficult to follow the story at times. This definitely hampered my immersion and required extra effort to understand what was happening. Additionally, I felt that the characterization suffered as the story progressed. The MC's personality seemed to shift abruptly, and some of the antagonists came across as overly simplistic. The pacing also felt uneven, with certain plot points dragging on while others were rushed. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Some readers have pointed out potential plot holes and inconsistencies, particularly regarding the MC's pregnancy and the timing of major events within the rebellion. It's worth noting that the MC's ability to have children is a plot point, and it might not be to everyone's taste. ### Final Verdict Overall, "Picking Up An Alpha On Garbage Star" is a mixed bag. While it offers an interesting premise and a strong MC/ML relationship, the translation issues and inconsistencies in characterization and plot can be frustrating. If you're willing to overlook these flaws, you might find it to be an enjoyable, albeit somewhat flawed, read. I'd give it a cautious recommendation, especially for those who enjoy sci-fi omegaverse stories with a focus on romance and world-building.
