"The Former Kingdom-toppling Beauty and the Flag-crusher Crown Prince" – what a mouthful! I dove into this novel with a healthy dose of curiosity, intrigued by the premise of a reincarnated beauty and a…flag-crushing prince? It certainly sounded like a recipe for some chaotic fun.
First Impressions
My initial impression was a little mixed, I'll admit. The beginning throws you right into the thick of things, with plenty of "Your Highness" this and "Your Highness" that flying around. At first, I thought everyone was fawning over the main character, praising her excellence. But it quickly became clear that those praises were directed at the prince, and the MC's role was more of a voice of reason – the only one brave enough to call him out when he inevitably went off the rails.
What Works Well
I really enjoyed the humor woven throughout the story. The quirky characters definitely add to the comedic element, and the prince's antics are often laugh-out-loud funny.
