My Thoughts on The Correct Way Of Feeding The Sick And Delicate Villain
"The Correct Way of Feeding the Sick and Delicate Villain" was quite the ride! I went in expecting a standard transmigration story, but it ended up being more nuanced and, at times, surprisingly dark. While it's not perfect, it definitely kept me entertained.
First Impressions
Initially, I was a little hesitant due to the premise. The age gap between the leads, with the FL initially acting as the ML's caretaker, gave me pause. However, I decided to stick with it, and I'm glad I did. The initial chapters were well-translated and intriguing, quickly drawing me into the world and the FL's struggle to survive. I found the FL's realistic reactions to her sudden transmigration quite refreshing.
What Works Well
The pacing is definitely a strong point. The story moves along quickly, with enough twists and turns to maintain interest. I appreciated that neither the FL nor the ML were overpowered. They faced genuine challenges and had to rely on their wits and each other, which made their relationship feel more earned. Speaking of the relationship, the gradual shift from a familial bond to a romantic one felt natural, especially given the cultivation setting where age is less of a barrier. The ML's devotion to the FL was a recurring theme, and despite his... intense tendencies, he ultimately respected her. The ending for the villains was also quite satisfying, which is always a plus in my book.
Areas of Concern
While I enjoyed the overall story, there were a few aspects that felt underdeveloped. The system, while occasionally helpful, often came across as annoying and intrusive. Some plot points, like the origins of certain villains, felt rushed or glossed over. I also understand the confusion some readers felt regarding certain plot elements. I do agree that the story became somewhat complicated around the midpoint, which affected the flow of the story.
⚠️ Spoiler Warning
Some readers may find the portrayal of the original ML and FL disturbing, as there is a low-key r*pe scene played for comedic effect. Additionally, the FL transmigrates into two people simultaneously, which some readers might not enjoy. There are also some issues with the ML's extreme obsession and yandere tendencies, which while not resulting in the FL being hurt, may make some readers uncomfortable.
Final Verdict
Overall, I'd say "The Correct Way of Feeding the Sick and Delicate Villain" is a worthwhile read if you're looking for a fast-paced, twisty cultivation story with a devoted, if somewhat obsessive, ML. While it has its flaws, the engaging plot and likeable characters kept me hooked. I'd recommend giving it a shot, just be aware of the potential triggers mentioned above.
