My Thoughts on It Seems the Convenience Store Clerk Ossan That Got Dragged Into the Teleportation of an Entire Class Will Make Use of the Leftover Skills the Heroes Didn’t Want and Become the Strongest

This title is quite a mouthful, but after diving in, I found the story to be just as much of an experience as its name suggests. It's a wild ride of accidental isekai shenanigans with a healthy dose of "WTF" moments sprinkled throughout.

First Impressions

Honestly, the premise hooked me immediately. An overworked convenience store clerk getting dragged into a class teleportation and then making the most of unwanted skills? It's the kind of quirky setup I can get behind. I expected a lighthearted adventure, and that's mostly what I got, although with a few unexpected twists.

What Works Well

The author's creativity shines through in the ridiculousness of the skills our protagonist acquires. The idea of turning seemingly useless abilities like "poor extortion" or saliva adhesion into powerful assets is genuinely hilarious and surprisingly effective. The world-building, particularly the magic system with rechargeable crystal batteries and solar charging, is clever and adds a unique touch to the fantasy setting. I also appreciated the story's willingness to embrace a diverse cast and explore LGBT themes without being preachy or toxic.

Areas of Concern

While the outrageousness is part of the charm, at times, the story does feel a bit too out there. The harem elements, particularly the involvement of children and familial relationships, may not be everyone's cup of tea, and I can see how some readers might find it uncomfortable. The humor, while often funny, can also be a bit hit-or-miss.

⚠️ Spoiler Warning

Okay, let's talk about the harem for a second. It's... intense. We're talking biological niece, a young widow pushing her kids to seduce the MC, orphans, and a whole host of other eccentric characters. And the skills? Our MC is turning monster and plant skills into everyday power-ups, like magic photosynthesis and adhesive saliva. It's all part of the chaotic fun, but be warned, it's not for the faint of heart.

Final Verdict

"It Seems the Convenience Store Clerk Ossan..." is a flawed but ultimately entertaining read. If you're looking for a lighthearted, over-the-top isekai adventure with a unique magic system, a diverse cast, and a protagonist who turns trash skills into treasure, you might just find yourself enjoying this bizarre journey. Just be prepared for some potentially uncomfortable harem elements and a whole lot of "WTF" moments.

Synopsis

A Convenience store clerk Ossan gets mixed up in a hero summoning and sent to another world! Dragged into one of those so-called class teleportation, Otogi Yuuichi is a dull 35-yr-old single male. The summoned heroes each receive cheat skills from the Goddess and reincarnate one by one, but this Ossan was just dragged in by accident, so the cheat skills were all ‘sold out’ and he didn’t get one. As compensation, the Goddess took what was left of the skills she collected as reference when making the cheat skills, shoved all the tr*sh skills into him and forcefully sent him to the other world. Low status and useless skills, but this Ossan will work hard. Before he knew it, there were surprisingly many girls and girls(♂) that adored him. Ossan felt like things weren’t as bad as he originally thought, and if he makes good use of the leftover skills, he’s not weak at all. This is the simple story of such an Ossan living in another world.
