"I Have a Unique Way to Relieve Stress" is a romance that surprised me. Going in, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a story with such a… unique premise. I’ve come away pleasantly surprised by this novel and would recommend it to anyone looking for a light-hearted, but surprisingly thoughtful, romance.

My initial impression was that the female lead might be a bit too forward for my taste. The premise revolves around her online interactions, which are quite bold and, at times, even shameless. However, as I delved deeper, I found myself understanding and even admiring her character.
What Works Well
The strength of this novel lies in its unexpectedly heartwarming portrayal of modern love. It’s a story about finding connection in a world that often feels isolating. The initial online friendship, built on humorous flirting and an appreciation for a certain fitness enthusiast’s physique, blossoms into something much deeper. I especially enjoyed the way the author explores the vulnerabilities and insecurities of both main characters.
The extras, told from the male lead's perspective, are a fantastic addition. They completely shifted my perception, turning what I thought was a simple "perfect guy falls for quirky girl" story into something far more nuanced. Seeing the female lead through his eyes made me appreciate her cautiousness and understand his devotion. I was also very happy to see the respect for boundaries and consent that the author showed with the characters, it made me feel much more comfortable with the story.
