Description

Yun Rong, the mountain demon, had slept for 3,000 years. She could only be awakened by the offering and prayers from the common people. However, one day she was rudely awakened by a weird machine called excavator. Yun Rong was really angry. Which wicked person dares to move my mountain! She decided to show herself to the person in charge to resolve the situation. Yun Rong: “Who permitted you to move my mountain?” Development Manager: “Our company’s General Manager.” Yun Rong: “Outrageous! Take me to see him!” The Development Manager disdainfully said: “Do you think just because you want to see our General Manager you could meet him?” Yun Rong modestly asked: “Then how could I meet him?” Development Manager: “Minimum you have to be worth 100 million!” From then on, Yun Rong went down the mountain to raise her worth to at least 100 million only to discover that the world had changed a lot after 3,000 years. Apart from blessing the common people with good weather for crops and abundant harvest, she couldn’t do anything else. She realized then it would be quite difficult to raise her worth to 100 million. Lu He Nian said pamperingly: “Not difficult at all. What’s mine is yours.” Yun Rong said innocently: “Wishing your family luck and prosperity!” ( mountain demon is also known as mountain god )

Who Moved My Mountain Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Who Moved My Mountain "Who Moved My Mountain" promised a delightful blend of fantasy, comedy, and romance, and for the most part, it delivered a fun, if somewhat uneven, experience. The premise is certainly unique: a mountain god, Yun Rong, awakens after millennia to find her mountain about to be developed. Her quest to earn 100 million to buy it back is what got me hooked in the first place. ### First Impressions The initial chapters were a breath of fresh air. Yun Rong's naivete regarding modern society, contrasted with her immense supernatural power, created some genuinely hilarious situations. The story felt lighthearted, and I was eager to see how she would navigate the human world. I also appreciated the introduction of Lu Heinian, the male lead, and his initial interactions with Yun Rong. ### What Works Well The core strength of this novel lies in its humor and the fish-out-of-water element. Watching Yun Rong, a 4000-year-old mountain god, try to understand concepts like money and business was consistently amusing. I also liked the supporting characters, especially Lu Heinian's family. They brought a lot of positive energy to the story and were genuinely entertaining in their attempts to play matchmaker. The supernatural elements, with demons and ghosts adapting to modern life, added an interesting layer to the world-building. ### Areas of Concern However, the novel isn't without its flaws. The pacing felt off at times, and the ending, in particular, felt rushed and incomplete. Several plot points were left unresolved, leaving me with a sense of dissatisfaction. I also found the romantic development to be somewhat lacking. The characters don't get together until the very end, leaving little room for the "fluff" I was hoping for. Some may find the male lead's protectiveness of Yun Rong to be a bit overbearing, bordering on chauvinistic. While it's intended to be doting, it occasionally comes across as patronizing, especially given Yun Rong's age and power. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Some readers may be bothered by the treatment of sensitive topics, such as abuse, being played for laughs in certain parts of the story. Additionally, the ending raises several questions: How did Yun Rong give birth while in a dormant state? How was she able to raise her children for five years without anyone knowing? These inconsistencies detracted from my overall enjoyment. ### Final Verdict Despite its flaws, "Who Moved My Mountain" is an enjoyable read, especially if you're looking for something lighthearted and funny. The unique premise and endearing characters make it worth a try, but be prepared for a somewhat abrupt and unsatisfying conclusion. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars.
