Description

Sect Master Xue Qianshao of Tai Kun Mountain visits the demon city of Qi Ye with the intention of negotiating compensation for past conflicts with the Demon Venerable Hui Xing. To facilitate the talks, both sides agree to a temporary pact of ‘no harm to each other.’ However, once Xue Qianshao enters the Demon Palace, what was supposed to be a smooth negotiation was repeatedly obstructed. When Xue Qianshao finally managed to secure a meeting, he discovered that he was deeply entangled and caught up in the internal strife within the Demon Realm. Adding fuel to the fire, during their meeting, the Demon Venerable Hui Xing openly displayed his strong interest in Xue Qianshao. He confessed that he had been attacked by a furnace, carrying a sinister curse and hidden injuries, and wanted Xue Qianshao to help him heal through dual cultivation. Additionally, he used the old debts with Tai Kun Mountain as leverage to coerce and entice Xue Qianshao into agreeing. Xue Qianshao is no pushover either. However, with the situation in the Demon Realm being intense and bound by the pact with the Demon Venerable Hui Xing, they are both enemies and allies, and must ultimately join forces to fight against common enemies. As Xue Qianshao’s stay in the Demon Realm extends, he begins to recall past events from before he joined Tai Kun Mountain. A forgotten past slowly becomes clearer, and the person from his memories increasingly overlaps with the Demon Venerable Hui Xing… Is it that the past ties are not yet severed, or is it merely that the players in the game have woven themselves into their own traps? Thus begins the entanglement between the Sect Master and the Demon Venerable.

Where to Find the Remnants of Spring Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Where to Find the Remnants of Spring "Where to Find the Remnants of Spring" is a danmei novel that promised a blend of adventure, romance, and xianxia intrigue, and after diving in, I have some thoughts. It definitely has its strengths, but also a few areas that might not appeal to every reader. ### First Impressions Initially, I found myself a little lost in the world-building. The story throws you in, and it takes a bit to fully grasp the motivations and relationships between the characters. However, sticking with it definitely pays off as the narrative unfolds. The beginning can be a little slow, but after the first few dozen chapters, the story finds its footing and pulls you in. ### What Works Well The depth of the characters is a major highlight. The author has clearly put a lot of thought into crafting individuals with complex motivations and backstories. The exploration of morality is particularly well done, blurring the lines between good and evil and forcing you to question the characters' actions. The relationship dynamics, especially between the main leads, are very well-developed and keep you invested in their journey. The author's prose is beautifully written and adds to the overall immersive experience. ### Areas of Concern While the slow burn works for some, others might find the initial chapters a bit of a slog. The author's tendency to withhold information can be frustrating, requiring close attention and patience to piece everything together. I can see why some readers might find the "calm shou, joking gong" dynamic a bit cliché, especially if you're well-versed in the xianxia genre. Some inconsistencies have been reported, but they are minor and don't detract too much from the overall enjoyment. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning There are some spoilers ahead regarding the plot and character relationships. Reader beware! The story kicks off with a conflict between the Tai Kun Mountain disciples and the Demon Lord (ML). The MC gets involved, leading to a series of events that trap him and his disciples in the demon realm. The MC then chooses to help the ML solve an internal issue, possibly due to a fated connection or strategic alliance. There might be some non-virginal activities, but I'll leave that for you to discover. ### Final Verdict Overall, "Where to Find the Remnants of Spring" is a solid xianxia danmei novel with a compelling plot and well-developed characters. While it may require some patience and attention to detail, the payoff is worth it for those who enjoy a complex and thought-provoking story. If you are looking for an easy read, this may not be for you. If you are new to the genre, this might be a good place to start.
