Ufufu, Did You Think I Would Stay Trampled Underfoot? Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Ufufu, Did You Think I Would Stay Trampled Underfoot? ### First Impressions "Ufufu, Did You Think I Would Stay Trampled Underfoot?" certainly grabbed my attention with its title! I went in expecting a compelling revenge story with a strong female lead, and in some ways, it delivered. The premise of a villainess noble girl seeking retribution after being wronged is always appealing, especially with that European ambience flavoring the setting. I was definitely intrigued to see how the story would unfold, especially given the "oneshot" tag. ### What Works Well The core concept of the story is undoubtedly its strongest point. The idea of a betrayed woman rising above her circumstances and enacting revenge is inherently satisfying. The promise of magic and the clash between nobles adds another layer of intrigue. I found myself rooting for the protagonist as she navigated the treacherous social landscape and plotted her comeback. The pacing, while quick due to the short length, kept me engaged and wanting to know what would happen next. The author did a good job of creating a character I wanted to succeed, despite her initial circumstances. ### Areas of Concern While I enjoyed the overall idea, the brevity of the story did leave me wanting more. The romance, in particular, felt somewhat underdeveloped. I didn't quite get the sense of deep connection between the MC and the ML that I usually crave in a romance novel. It felt a little rushed, which is understandable given the oneshot format, but it did detract slightly from my overall enjoyment. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning I had a few moments of confusion concerning the royal treasure, and the King's decision to give it away. Why would he so readily part with something of such great importance? It felt a little out of character and created plot holes. ### Final Verdict Overall, "Ufufu, Did You Think I Would Stay Trampled Underfoot?" is a decent read, especially if you're looking for a quick dose of revenge fantasy. While the romance could have been fleshed out more and the plot devices were confusing, the core concept and the protagonist's journey are compelling enough to make it worth your time. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. I think the concept had the potential to be so much more if it had been a full-length novel.
