Qiao Zhao married a first-class noble son from the capital, but unfortunately for her, she wasn’t given a bridal chamber as a sign of her newly married life. After their marriage, her husband went on an expedition, leaving her alone to take care of herself. After a long time apart, they finally saw each other again, but suddenly, she was shot dead by her husband on the city wall with an arrow. When she opened her eyes after a while, she saw herself in the body of a kidnapped young girl riding a donkey, racking her brains to figure out how to get back to the capital.

Time Is Slow Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Time Is Slow "Time Is Slow" offered me a captivating journey into a world of ancient times, nobles, and a transmigrated female lead navigating complex relationships and seeking justice. Overall, I found it to be an enjoyable read, although not without its minor shortcomings. ### First Impressions The premise immediately hooked me. A clever female protagonist reborn into a world of political intrigue and family drama? Yes, please! The initial chapters were well-paced, introducing the key players and setting the stage for the conflicts to come. I was eager to see how the FL would use her knowledge and wit to overcome the challenges she faced. ### What Works Well The strength of this novel, for me, lies in its well-developed characters, especially the female lead. I appreciated her level-headedness and independence. It's refreshing to see a FL who isn't just reactive but actively shapes her destiny. I also found myself invested in her relationships with her immediate family, particularly her step-brother, parents, and grandmother. Their interactions added a layer of warmth and humor to the often-serious plot. I also enjoyed the author's ability to keep the story moving. There was rarely a dull moment, with events unfolding at a pace that kept me engaged. ### Areas of Concern One aspect that gave me pause was the sheer number of potential male leads. While some might enjoy the ambiguity and romantic tension, I personally found it a bit overwhelming. I also felt the revenge plot, while present, didn't receive the attention it deserved. It felt somewhat sidelined in favor of the "backyard fighting," which, while entertaining, sometimes overshadowed the more serious aspects of the story. ### Final Verdict Despite some minor reservations, I found "Time Is Slow" to be a worthwhile read. The engaging plot, strong female lead, and well-developed family dynamics kept me invested. If you enjoy stories with clever protagonists, political intrigue, and a touch of romance, I recommend giving this novel a try. Just be prepared for a potentially large cast of male admirers!
