Description

A young girl, who was neglected by her family, accidentally died while protecting a [Child of God] who would save the world. She was offered to be reincarnated into a world identical to the VRMMORPG that she was familiar with by a mysterious entity. That mysterious entity used its power to empower her soul by transforming her previous effort and passion spent in developing and leveling up her game characters into her own powers instead. However, when she turned three years old, she discovered that the world she was reincarnated into was not the least bit similar to the VRMMORPG world. Furthermore, she was compounded by the revelation that she had become a ‘villainess’ who had raised plenty of death flags. “God, this is not the world you promised me!?” A flurry of death flags looms over her from an early age. She is now pitted against a powerful heroine, one endowed with beauty, and blessed with mysterious powers. With the help of her wits and bravery – or rather with the power of her VRMMO character – the girl was able to fend off pe*verted assailants, weather unknown dangers and defy the tragic fate of the game’s Villainess. Why did that entity reincarnate her into that body? Why did she have to face the trials that the villainess would have to go through? With more questions than answers, what will happen to our said reincarnated VRMMO player?

The Villainess That Was Once A VRMMO Player Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on The Villainess That Was Once A VRMMO Player This web novel certainly sparked a range of reactions, and after diving into the available information, I've got my own thoughts on "The Villainess That Was Once A VRMMO Player." It's a story that seems to offer a unique blend of power fantasy and villainess reincarnation, but with some caveats that might make or break the experience for different readers. ### First Impressions The premise is undeniably intriguing: a VRMMO player reincarnated as a villainess, retaining her game abilities. This immediately sets the stage for a potential power trip, and many seem to enjoy that aspect. I can see the appeal of watching a character navigate a new world with a distinct advantage. However, I also noticed concerns about the execution, particularly in the early chapters. ### What Works Well Many readers seemed to appreciate the author's unique style, particularly if they're familiar with Haru no Hi's other works. The multi-perspective writing style was also praised, as it provides a broader understanding of the world and its inhabitants. The MC's ruthlessness, especially towards those who threaten her, appears to be a significant draw for some, positioning her as a "badass FMC" (female main character). I also noticed that some readers found the story to be a lighthearted escape, enjoying the MC's whimsical approach to life, living according to her own desires. ### Areas of Concern Despite the praise, some significant issues surfaced. Several readers expressed discomfort with the prevalence of racism and sexual harassment, particularly directed at the young MC. This is a major red flag, and it's understandable that it led some to drop the novel. Others found the MC to be frustratingly passive, especially considering her supposed power. The plot also seems to meander at times, focusing on "otome game creeps" without real consequence. The over-explanation of game mechanics and world details was also a point of contention for some, slowing down the pacing. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Some readers touched upon plot points that could be considered spoilers. For example, the MC apparently lives a dual life as both Carol and her player character, the adventurer Witch. Another spoiler mentions that the MC triggers every bad ending from the game, albeit in altered forms. Read at your own risk! ### Final Verdict "The Villainess That Was Once A VRMMO Player" appears to be a polarizing novel. It offers a power fantasy with a ruthless female lead, but it's also plagued by potentially triggering content and pacing issues. If you're a fan of the author's previous work and enjoy a morally gray protagonist, this might be worth a try. However, be prepared for potentially uncomfortable themes and a plot that some find meandering. Proceed with caution.
