Description

One day, the engagement between the Second Prince Arnight and his fiancee, Veena Lilyfall, was broken off. However, despite it being the cause of the disengagement, she has no memories of ever bullying that girl. No matter how groundless the accusations were, when Lady Lilyfall’s fall from grace was announced to the public, the wolves in the hall with their cold glares began to see her as easy prey. Only the Princess, younger sibling to Prince Arnight, didn’t seem to fully understand the situation. The Princess sought to protect Veena, and together they escaped.

The Villainess Blooms Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on The Villainess Blooms "The Villainess Blooms" definitely caught my eye with its premise: a villainess in an otome game getting whisked away by a princess! The blend of action, fantasy, romance, and a hint of political intrigue seemed like a recipe for a fun read. However, after diving in and considering the community's feedback, my feelings are a bit mixed. ### First Impressions The initial chapters were promising. I was intrigued by the unique antagonist setup and the potential for a thrilling escape narrative. The dynamic between the main characters, Veena and Yua, had a certain charm. It seemed like we were heading towards a story filled with political machinations and a blossoming yuri romance. ### What Works Well Many readers, myself included, found the characters engaging. The idea of the MC's family being a bunch of "sociopaths" who would support her was quite interesting. The "fluffy, romantic-comedy moments" were also a highlight for some, particularly those who enjoy the yuri genre. Some readers found the MC to be OP, but in a way that kept the story fun. The romance between Veena and Yua is a strong point, making me wish there was more focus on their relationship. ### Areas of Concern Sadly, the story seems to lose its way after a while. Several readers mentioned that the plot becomes "absurd," with one reviewer stating that they're unsure how the country even functions. The pacing also seems to be an issue. There's a feeling that the story gets bogged down in unnecessary plot threads and flashbacks, hindering the development of the core relationship. Some readers also criticized the MC's intellect, arguing that she's portrayed as intelligent but often makes questionable decisions. While one reader suggested this could be due to depression, it's a significant point of contention. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Several reviewers highlighted some plot points that could be considered spoilers. For example, the questionable logic behind the First Prince's actions and lack of consequences, the rebels' motivations, and the MC's actions after defeating a dragon. ### Final Verdict "The Villainess Blooms" has potential, and the initial chapters are definitely worth a look if you're into yuri romance and villainess stories. However, be aware that the plot might become convoluted, and the character development might not live up to expectations. As it stands, with the series currently on hiatus, I'd recommend approaching with caution and perhaps stopping before chapter 30 to avoid potential frustration.
