Description

A strange phenomenon fell down from the sky and aliens came over Earth. Office nerd Fu Shiwu’s life was turned upside down, but luckily for him, Tang Xuhai, his fierce and powerful neighbour whom he wasn’t exactly on good terms with, took him on a journey to escape. But Fu Shiwu could never imagine that halfway through the escape, this unbreakable man turned out to carry a steel plate in his body, which brought on an infection and sent him into a deadly fever. In order to save him, Fu Shiwu, a white-collar elite who couldn’t even restrain a chicken, had to bite the bullet and go all out on the unknown terror waiting outside. In this apocalypse, people survived with all sorts of tricks. By having IQ, having muscles, or hugging the right thighs! In order to compete for resources and talents, they also had to exhibit their character, flaunt their morals and push their very limits. Fu Shiwu and Tang Xuhai’s team would like to implicitly express that: They definitely had all the above “virtues”. This is a story with zero rebirth, zero transmigration, zero system, but still the right amount of golden fingers to pave a new way for humanity.

The Invasion Day Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on The Invasion Day "The Invasion Day" promised an action-packed apocalypse with a unique twist, and for the most part, it delivered. This novel combines sci-fi, fantasy, and yaoi elements into a story of humanity's struggle against an alien invasion. While it has some flaws, its strengths make it a worthwhile read for fans of the genre. ### First Impressions I was immediately drawn in by the premise: no rebirth, no transmigration, just humanity fighting for survival. The early chapters were gripping, setting a realistic tone for the apocalypse. I appreciated the focus on humanity coming together, with the government and military playing crucial roles in coordinating efforts. However, I did notice some pacing issues, particularly towards the ending, which felt rushed. ### What Works Well The action sequences are definitely a highlight. The author excels at writing dramatic battles, creating a sense of tension and high stakes. I found the characters engaging, especially the main couple. The male leads are not cookie-cutter characters, and their relationship develops naturally from reluctant partners to supportive boyfriends. The slow-burn romance was a refreshing change from typical BL tropes. The world-building is also commendable. The author slowly reveals new discoveries, building our understanding of the world alongside the characters. The alien threat feels genuinely scary, adding a layer of mystery and uncertainty. ### Areas of Concern While the novel shines in many aspects, I did find some issues with character consistency and plot development. The MC's naivete, while explained later in the story, can be frustrating at times. Some plot points felt nonsensical, and the science occasionally strained believability. The love triangle subplot also felt unnecessary and detracted from the overall narrative for me. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning ⚠️ Some readers might want to skip this section to avoid spoilers. One user expressed disappointment with the MC's actions, particularly his decision to embark on a dangerous mission without informing his team. Another user pointed out inconsistencies in the villain's behavior. Several reviewers noted the deaths of beloved characters, which, while adding emotional depth, can be difficult for some readers to handle. ### Final Verdict Despite its flaws, "The Invasion Day" is a compelling apocalypse novel with well-developed characters, thrilling action, and a unique premise. If you're looking for a story that takes itself seriously and explores themes of friendship, sacrifice, and survival, I recommend giving it a try. Just be prepared for some emotional moments and occasional plot holes along the way.
