What sets this apart is that she's not immediately a powerhouse. Instead, she's realistic – scared, confused, and slowly finding her footing. Then there's the ML... a snake. Yes, you read that right. A mutated black snake who, through a series of events, becomes incredibly powerful and incredibly attached to Su Su. ### What Works Well I really enjoyed the FL's character development. Seeing her overcome her fear and grow stronger, both physically and mentally, was satisfying. The romance, while unconventional, is also well-paced. It's not insta-love; it's a gradual progression from possession (on the snake's part) to something deeper. The author does a good job of portraying the initial panic and disbelief Su Su experiences when a snake starts viewing her as his potential mate. The action is also engaging, especially in the beginning as Su Su navigates the early stages of the apocalypse. I found myself rooting for her as she learned to use her unique abilities and built a small group of allies. ### Areas of Concern I did find some of the later arcs, particularly those involving the Research Center, to be less compelling. The plot felt a bit contrived at times, and the villains weren't always the most believable. I also felt that some of the side characters could have been more developed. While I liked Cancan, I wish there were more found-family vibes. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Okay, let's talk about the OG FL and OG ML. They're... frustrating. The unique premise, the FL's growth, and the unconventional romance make it stand out.
