Prince Takatsuki’s Mind is Coloured Pink Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Prince Takatsuki’s Mind is Coloured Pink "Prince Takatsuki’s Mind is Coloured Pink" is definitely a web novel that throws you for a loop. I went in expecting a lighthearted romance, maybe a bit fluffy, but what I found was… something else entirely. It's a wild ride, to say the least, and whether you enjoy that ride seems to depend heavily on your tolerance for the absurd and, frankly, the disturbing. ### First Impressions Initially, I was hooked by the premise of Manaka being able to read Takatsuki's mind. The first couple of chapters lulled me into a false sense of security, but then the story just explodes into a chaotic mess of perverse thoughts and questionable actions. It's a jarring shift, and I can see why some readers were immediately turned off. ### What Works Well The humor is definitely a strong point. The sheer absurdity of the situations Manaka finds himself in, coupled with his internal monologue, had me laughing out loud at times. I also found Manaka himself to be a very likeable protagonist. He's sweet, generally positive, and his reactions to the craziness around him are often hilarious. The dynamic between Manaka and Takatsuki is intriguing, even if it's also deeply unsettling. The author does a good job of creating a sense of unease and tension, which, for some readers, is part of the appeal. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Okay, let's address the elephant in the room: the content. There are some seriously messed up situations that occur, particularly involving Takatsuki's family. Bestiality is alluded to, and there are attempted r*pe scenarios. Takatsuki's behavior is also highly problematic; he's obsessed with Manaka, but his actions sometimes border on non-consensual and even seem to enjoy watching Manaka suffer. One of the most disturbing aspects is that Takatsuki is found j***ing off while Manaka is about to be assaulted. ### Areas of Concern The biggest issue for me is the way the story handles consent and violence. While the humor can be funny, it's often at the expense of Manaka's well-being. The fact that Manaka so easily forgives Takatsuki after everything he goes through stretches believability to the breaking point. Also, the plot relies a bit too heavily on Manaka being kidnapped and violated, which gets repetitive and tiresome. ### Final Verdict "Prince Takatsuki’s Mind is Coloured Pink" is a very polarizing novel. It's definitely not for everyone. If you're looking for a sweet and fluffy BL romance, steer clear. However, if you enjoy dark humor, over-the-top situations, and are willing to overlook some seriously problematic content, you might find this novel entertaining. Just be prepared to have your "WTF" meter go off the charts. I'm giving it a tentative 3/5. Read at your own risk!
