My Blind Master Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on My Blind Master "My Blind Master" promised a sweet and intriguing romance, and for the most part, it delivered. As a complete short story, it offered a quick escape into a European-inspired world filled with magic and heartwarming characters. While it left me with a few lingering questions, the overall experience was enjoyable. ### First Impressions The premise immediately grabbed my attention: a blind master and the scarred maid who cares for him. The shoujo and fantasy tags added to the appeal, suggesting a story with both emotional depth and a touch of the fantastical. I was eager to dive into the dynamic between the two main characters and see how their relationship would unfold. ### What Works Well I found the characters to be genuinely endearing. The male lead, despite his blindness and the neglect he faces, is portrayed as kind and warm-hearted. I especially liked how the female lead, despite her insecurities about her scar, is a compassionate and cheerful person. Their connection felt authentic, and I was rooting for them from the start. The story is definitely a light-hearted read, and it can be enjoyed in one sitting. ### Areas of Concern While I enjoyed the story, I did find myself wishing for a bit more depth and explanation in certain areas. The pacing felt rushed towards the end, and some plot points felt underdeveloped. For example, the male lead's brother's actions felt inconsistent. One moment he's neglecting his brother, and the next he's suddenly finding him a doctor. It made his motivations confusing. I also felt that the use of the male lead's mana was never fully explored. It was mentioned early on, but its significance seemed to fade as the story progressed. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Some of the issues I had with the story require mentioning specific plot points. I found the ending to be a bit abrupt. The male lead suddenly declares the female lead as his girlfriend, but the story doesn't delve into the potential challenges they might face as a noble and a commoner. It felt like a significant detail was glossed over. ### Final Verdict Overall, "My Blind Master" is a charming and sweet story that's perfect for a quick and easy read. While it has some shortcomings in terms of plot development and pacing, the endearing characters and heartwarming romance make it an enjoyable experience. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a lighthearted fantasy romance with a touch of drama.
